As a child who grew up in the church, Steve was always given to music and ministry. It was therefore no surprise when decided to do full time music ministry later in life. Steve Stoddart affectionately called Zamar, received 2 nominations at the 2008 Canadian Covenant Music Awards (Canada's most prestigious Gospel Music Award) for his album "Reggae Praise." Reggae Praise also received the award for the Best Gospel Reggae Album 2008 at the MAJA Awards. In relentless pursuit of his God given purpose, Steve released a follow-up album entitled "Life" in 2010. This cutting-edge project received 3 nominations at the Canadian Covenant Music Awards and won the award for the Best Gospel Album in 2010.

Steve Stoddart is an authentic gospel reggae artiste filled with passion for the Lord, people and music. His music has cross social barriers and has influenced many to follow Christ. He is now working on a new project entitled "The Way," and What a Beautiful Name is a single from this upcoming album. His aim is to share the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all persons of all backgrounds.
