What I love most about writing is being able to take a feeling or a thought, and run with it. Once I tap into that creative side of me there's no telling where I will wind up. I believe the initial spark that got me starte on "Long Ride Home" was news about the tsunami that hit Japan, followed by other tragedies that made their way around the world. I found myself falling right into "Long Ride Home." The various feelings I've experienced during the writing of this CD are all expressed within the songs I've written. Playing guitar, and song writing, are my favorite musical forms of expression. So as a songwriter I encourage you to listen to the words, and let me know what you think. Can you relate to the songs, do they bring up memories of special moments in your life? If so, I will have accomplished what I set out to do.
