Berlin based electronic artist and multi-instrumentalist, junk-E-cat, is back with a set of new tracks to be released one by one in 2023. The second offering of the bunch is UnSynth - a track with sound design based on an early AI driven NSynth engine developed by Google in 2017. Junk-E-cat had the privilege of being invited to test and evaluate the device and wrote the track for a presentation and panel discussion around AI and sound design. He used the engine to create the lo-fi lead sounds for the distinct repetitive melody. His added bass clarinet and woodwind harmonies bring the track into an acoustic world and the two-step-like beat glues it all together.
