Big Sam’s Funky Nation is all about front man Sammie Williams on the trombone. Big Sam has been shaking butts since taking a spot with his musical heros, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, a few years ago. Now with his own grooving band behind him, he continues to shake it with a bounce in his step and smile on his face that is undeniably reflected back from his crowds. They caught the ear of singer Chris Robinson and opened for the Black Crowes in San Francisco he has also played with Dave Matthews, Widespread Panic and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe.
