简介
"I Become Disaster" is the high energy fourth studio album from David Stephenson and his independent record label, Pollinator Records! These dynamic, hard-edged tunes were recorded on both the West (Brookings, Oregon) and East (Cape Cod, Massachusettes) Coasts over the course of a few years. The dominant "Tragic/Political" theme of the recording began after the meltdown of the Fukushima Daichi reactors and the resulting environmental disaster. After writing and recording the tongue -n- cheek love song "Fukushima Baby", songs like "Death By a Thousand Cuts", "Suicide Poets", and the title track "I Become Disaster" set the clarion call. In addition, along with 12 original tunes, "I Become Disaster" marks the first time that David is showcasing versions of some of his favorite historic tunes. The tunes of Warren Zevon, Irving Berlin, and the Traditional Folk idiom are all represented with that particular Stephenson flare. A big Thank You goes out to Amber G. Tagg for her charming backing vocals on the title track and to Skott Rusch for his blistering guitar solo on "Dirty Early"! The official studio cat, Sabelle "Pucker" Tagg played accidental keyboard on at least 2 tracks. The original cover art is taken from a painting by the uber-talented Destiny Schwartz of Brookings, Oregon. Thank you all for your generous contributions. David Stephenson: Songwriter, Guitars, Drums, Keyboards, Synthesizers, Vocals, Harmonica, Production, Mixing, Mastering.
