简介
"When will we learn to bring a broken heart? It's all He wants," is part of the compelling chorus of "All He Wants," a song from VOW's newest ep. It expresses the philosophy of this Christian band from Birmingham, AL. VOW achieves authenticity and excellence by blending their varied musical influences with deep, challenging lyrics about God and life with Him. With a distinctive ability to groove, the band often incorporates new and unique arrangements of popular praise songs and hymns into sets alongside their originals. Whether playing a major music festival with national artists or leading worship for a handful of believers, VOW offers music that appeals to the masses with content firmly focused on Jesus Christ. VOW performs in the Birmingham area on a regular basis. The group opened for Derek Webb of Caedmon's Call at Grace 2003 in Pensacola, FL and is booked for Gracefest 2004. VOW has also shared the stage with national recording artists The Newsboys, Ginny Owens, Big Daddy Weave, Six Pence None the Richer, Sugar Ray, and Blues Traveler at regional music festivals. VOW has played at events such as Godstock 02 and 03 in Gadsden, AL, and Youth Specialties 2002, a national conference for youth workers held in Nashville, TN. The band was selected as a finalist in the Christian Music Talent Search 2003 and in the Cornerstone North Carolina new band contest. In addition, the band's song, "Teddy Bear," has been featured on the Gracefest 2003 Compilation and on the Playlist Promotions Contemporary Christian Compilation for Summer 2003.
