Ten young singers with international careers came together for a charitable project: recording "Volksklieder" (Folk songs) with well- known melodies. Singers as Star-Tenor Klaus Florian Vogt, cheered during his appearance at the New York Met or at the Bayreuth Festival, is one of the party, beside famous Sopranos and two other Tenors from the Staatsoper Berlin . Fresh, young voices will inspire you listening the different songs. The recording has triggered much enthusiasm and is an unique example of the combination of classical singing and modern young interpretation. No artist makes money by selling the music of this specific recording: the whole profit from the sale goes into two charitable projects: the musical theatre work of Children at a highschool in Brunsbüttel (northern part of Germany) and, most of the money, is for children in the town Lübeck ( near Hamburg) who have problems: some come from foreign countries, with poor parents, these children need help, there must be some Germans who can teach them the new language, show them, how life is going in Germany, help them for their work at school. There are German children too with parents who themselves have problems, some are alkoholics; these children don´t have breakfast or lunch they need someone who cares, who prepares breakfast or lunch and helps with all problems which occur everyday. The profit from selling this music goes 100 % to these projects. So we hope, listeners will enjoy our music mainly; but they should know, if they buy some music, they contribute their money for children, who need help - foreigners as well as Germans.
