B.L.E.S.S. An acronym for Because Language Equals Sound Shaping. Now you don’t have to ask where the name comes from… I make music. My music supports the fact that this IS art, music IS supposed to be GOOD, and it actually DOES MATTER what you say. I was introduced to music early in my life. Singing in show choir, solo ensemble, and various vocal competitions throughout my childhood was nothing out of the ordinary. I discovered Hip-Hop music as a young man and my life has never been the same since. I started dabbling in Hip-Hop music around 1995 and I have been writing and performing since 1998. Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to open for and/or work with acts such as Status Flo, Mood, Souls of Mischief, D12, Potluck, Keith Murray, Blueprint, Illogic, Killah Priest, Ill Poetic, Macklemore, Copywrite, Envelope, Pseudo Slang, Radix, Talib Kweli, and Dj Hi-Tek, with many others to come in the future. My last project “The Concept EP” was released in September 2009 and the new album “Because Language Equals Sound Shaping” features some of the most talented Underground Hip-Hop artists in the industry and seven different producers, which gives the album a serious sense of soul and diversity that you do not find in most Hip-Hop music today.
