Recorded in an afternoon in 2008 in the basement of a spice factory in Philadelphia, using only analogue tape and half-baked arrangements, the music fell into place in the way recording sessions of the past became myth. With a handful of tunes from Arsenio Rodriguez, Maria Teresa Vera, Sexteto Habanero, and an intent to create a set of music that would be felt more than it would be heard, the album features Stefan Zeniuk (baritone sax & bass clarinet), Tuba Joe Exley (tuba), Clifton Hyde (acoustic baritone guitar), and Ari Folman-Cohen (acoustic bass).
