MUSIC LIVES HERE! Biography Chad Quentin (born Chadrick Quentin Honore') is a musician, composer, lyricist, and the youngest member of the Grammy Award winning Rebirth Brass Band. He began playing the tuba and trumpet at age 9 and at just 12 years old he performed in his first professional gig in Japan. By the time Chad Quentin was 16 years old, he had furthered his instrumentation to the point of learning every brass instrument. While Chad Quentin is mostly street trained, he has had the opportunity to attend the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and has studied under Kid Jordan, Kent Jordan, Marlon Jordan, Clyde Kerr and Alvin Batiste. Chad Quentin made a living by playing on the streets of New Orleans in the French Quarter for tips. Before long, he was playing for New Orleans' top brass bands: Stooges, Hot 8 and for the last four years, the Rebirth Brass Band. Chad Quentin has now grace the stage for audiences all over the country and worldwide, touring all 50 states and mostly every continent. By age 18, Chad Quentin had produced tracks for local artists, commercials and ESPN. Now, at only 27 years old he has earned his first Grammy Award and is transitioning into the world of Hip-Hop with his unique brand of music. Chad Quentin's audiences can look forward to finally hearing his vocals over his original horn based tracks. Stephen Carter, was born September 3, 1986 in New Orleans, LA. Carter has been influenced by music all of his life. As an adolescent, he often sung in church, starred in talent shows and impressed spectators with his use of vocabulary. Growing up in a multi- cultured environment, Phat Word quickly distinguished himself as the self proclaimed Don of the freestyle empire. Phat says, “…freestyling is like conversation, you just think before u say it”. His unique talent to take a real life experience and paint a linguistic picture over a hot track, propels his approach to give the fans what they want to hear along with what’s real. Phat Word’s newest album, ”The Fusion“, involves rapping and singing over live band music like Funk, Rock, Pop and Hip-Hop, with religious and conscious messages and an upbeat tempo. “Paulie Domino”, His first album, features collaborations with Q Corvette (of the former J Records R&B sensation Luke & Q) , world renowned Trombone Shorty on “Favorite Thing”, and Producer Mike Bass. Performances at colleges, clubs, and many other music ventures have taken Phat Word’s credibility, recognition and music to another level. He says, “I think all music should be mixed to create a new genre, yet one should stay true to who they are. God gave me the gift of poetry and music so as an honor to him, it’s about time everybody hears”. Along with his 5 piece live band, Globe-A-Future, Phat Word will began his tour. Phat rips freestyles, composes hot music, and intrigues the music world.
