简介

San Francisco, CA -- (ArriveNet - Aug 16, 2005) -- Amelia Ray's much anticipated CD release titled MUSIC FOR AUTISTIC PEOPLE will be released on August 26th, 2005. Featuring talented musicans such as drummers Dana Kelly and Jake Wood, saxaphonist Hermann Lara, and Boz Scaggs and Steely Dan guitarist Jon Herington, the thirteen-song album redefines California rock'n'roll. "Music for Autistic People" is Amelia's third CD. "I think the album's strength comes from its solid songwriting and range of style," says Ray. "And the talent of the amazing musicians who helped interpret the music." This has already been a busy and successful year for Ray, both domestically and internationally: in April, a segment of Radio Campus Lille (FR) was dedicated to a live interview with Ray, and she shared the stage with Alexandre Kinn, playing to packed house at House of Live in Paris, France. Stateside that same month, she she opened for Maia Sharp at NYC's Cutting Room, and joined Meghan Hayes at The Performer's Studio in Romney, WV. In June, she toured Europe, performing to audiences in France, Madrid, Switzerland, and Berlin. A live version of the lead track from MUSIC FOR AUTISTIC PEOPLE, "Full-blown Ascension," will be used in the Filmacademy Baden-W*rttemberg Berlin-based documentary, "Haus Schwarzenberg." And for the second year in a row, she has been nominated to perform in the Music Solo Category for the Pacific Art Collective Session Las Vegas. The album which was recorded, mixed and mastered at Quantum Onion Recording Studio (www.QuantumOnion.com), is the product of three years' worth of songwriting and arranging. The tracks mix from powerpop, country, and blues with jazz, rock, and R&B. The CD contains the controversial tracks "Silence Is Ashlee" and "Full-blown Ascension," the latter being a follow-up to "Who'syerdaddy?" which appeared on Ray's 2001 release, MR. GIBSON SCORES AGAIN.
