Peter Axelsson was a student of the renown bass player, Red Mitchell. He came into fifth-tuning the bass in the late 70s.

Peter has played with musicians like Gerry Mulligan, Chet Baker, Hank Jones, Shelly Manne and others, mostly jazz.

But this tune, "Road to Nancy", is more inspired by Eddie Boyd, singer and piano player in the blues genre, with whom Peter worked with from late 70s to middle 80s.
