The Shamrocks hail from the San Francisco Bay Area by way of Cwmbran- San Francisco -the Inland Empire and the isle of Capris. Their music -while refreshing and new -harkens back to the sound of great sixties classics, the british invasion and a lil bit of Texas-sometimes. The members of the group are... The Sham, originally from Cwmbran Wales ,is the chief lyricist and singer who has previously worked with members of the Flaming Lips and various electronic music ensembles, most notably Cold Solder Joint whos 1978 release "Crackle" was voted "best sound" by Welsh listener polls.The Sham is a mystery man. Wally Sound from the Inland Empire Californiay- is a guitarist /multi instrumentalist and a recording engineer and Producer who runs his own hydraulic powered recording studio-the Wally Sound in Oakland Ca. Rap -drums- hails from San Francisco and once lived next to Willie Mays. Classically and Jazzily trained- Rap's mind is polyrhythmic. He also was a former member of JJ180 and the Realtors with Wally and now teaches high school in San Jose and buys and sells Russian chandeliers as a hobby. Fabio Strada-From the island of Capri- is the popular percussionist of the band -and, has the longest hair in the group!- He has the distinction of being the only child born during the 1968 Rome International Pop Festival (during the infamous Pink Floyd set!). His love is the marraccas- he has studied over 150 marraca techniques to date and is on call for the Capri Symphony. Fabulous famous guest artists Jerry Martini (sax) and Cynthia Robinson (trumpet)- the original Sly Stone horn section add a most dynamic flavor to the record!. The sax solo on The Game is bound to be a classic for years to come. This dynamic duo are a 40 year institution that we are very proud to feature on this disc. Also a featured guest is Jimb Lyons of Spot 1019 and Zardoz fame- who lends his bass talents on Everything - a Phil Spectorish Wall of Sound Production that breathes like it is alive!
