Grist embodies this spirit, building powerful choruses and thought-provoking verses from nothing but human emotion. The creator of Grist hails from a small, alcohol-laden town in the Corner of South Dakota. Having regained his status as homeless and disowned from his family, his travels of the U.S. have led him to Pennsylvania, where he produced this album. The music contained on it is a combination of old songs from his past and new material from the last few years. The album is an attempt to capture both the power of simplicity and the complexity of emotions. Spawned from a slew of contradicting moods, this album is everything you would hope to come from a bad childhood and a beat-up guitar.
