简介
Valentina Vargas is a multi talented artist who has expanded her career around the world. While studying classical ballet and contemporary dance, she began singing on stage at the tender age of five in her native Chile. Years later, Europe became her stage. Valentina co-wrote with the renowned songwriter, Ettiene Rodagil (Vanessa Paradis, etc.) and expanded her vocal range with Madi Dietrich (Julien Clerk, Mireille Mathieu, etc.). As a singer, she gained new experiences through modern jazz dance, and, as an actress, through film. Responding to her real and everlasting passion in music, Valentina imposed new goals in her artistic life and emigrated to the United States, where she lives today. Besides leading her own band, “The Cause”, she performed on a select circuit of venues in Los Angeles, ranging from Poonama Souk and Bokaos to the Greek Theater, reaching across a multi-cultural spectrum. Her coaches, Ron Anderson and music professor Moacir Santos, encouraged her unique Latin style. Valentina’s appealing performances led her to share the stage with Jon Anderson (“YES”), Dionne Warwick, Kitaro, Roberta Flack and Alan Parsons. She collaborates as well with the group, “Kiruba”, produced by David Tickle (Prince, U2, Peter Gabriel). A duet with Jon Anderson on the album “DESEO” (Windham Hill Records) is one of many examples of this artist’s American career. Valentina also sang the title track of the feature film, “The Tigress” (Milan Records), in which she played the starring role. Today, Valentina is an accomplished singer and songwriter, and has recently finished production of her first solo album. She worked with some of the best musicians and engineers in Los Angeles (Jonathan Moffett, Alex Acuña, The Fowler Bros. and Fuzzbee Morse, among others). These talented artists helped her to realize her musical dreams, inspiring her melodies and giving her compositions an intoxicating edge with rhythms of driving passion. The music of Valentina Vargas is an exquisite blend of Pre-Columbian ethnic sounds, influenced by currents of contemporary Rock and Pop. Her lyrics explore the secrets of our times, and her stimulating and sensuous voice provokes all of our senses. Her music becomes, then, a unique and universal sound.
