Eclecticity, if such a word existed, would best describe the style and sound of up-n-coming vocalist Janira Campos and her band. The music, like the band, is a mix of musical styles and cultures (R&B, jazz, funk, soul, blues, latin and rock) fused into a smooth, urban sound and rythym.

Janira's voice, at once smooth and sultry, is just as comfortable belting out blues and grit. The band consists of John Zych on keyboards, Hector Soto on bass, guitarist John Betz, guitarist Eric Scott Platow, Christine Solimeno on drums, Bob Dolle on percussion and Carl Bartlett Jr. on saxophone.

JANIRA has been together in various forms for 6 years and has played a variety of venues in and around the New York metropolitan area.
