MUSIC IS A MISSION The fundamental vibes of Luvlite Recordings are determined by a deep spiritual belief that music is a universal language that helps bring together the right people at the right time and place. This peaceful and joyful mission is at the heart of all endeavours pursued by Sascha Weisz aka Megablast and his brother Andreas who founded Luvlite Recordings back in 2011 and who manifested their mission with numerous collaborators. When Sascha moved to the magic island of Ibiza in 2015, it was not only something he had been wanting to do for a long time but also a logical step to follow and boost his music career. The Vienna home base was an excellent breeding ground for a passionate music producer who enjoyed the diversity of the local scene between hip hop, drum n’ bass, house music and all their sub genres. In this melting pot of genres and different inspirations, Megablast began to spin records and started his first steps as a producer. The multi-facetted inspiration of the home territory enabled Megablast and long-time friend DJ Makossa to engage in a common project called Makossa & Megablast – as a result, their debut Album ‘Kunuaka’ released on Kruder & Dorfmeister’s G-Stone Label, simply blew the minds of so many other artists, DJs and fans around the globe. This success became Sascha’s entry ticket to the international music scene. Given the commercial success and growing reputation as studio wizard, the decision to move to Ibiza – the (European) hot spot for electronic music – was logical and inevitable. Sascha’s street credibility as an up-and-coming producer got boosted by artists such as DJ Koze, Luciano, Henrik Schwarz and Acid Pauli, who contributed amazing remixes to his releases. In addition, there were many high profiled references from DJs spinning Luvlite productions – from Dixon to Solomun, to name a few. The experience and inspiration gained from working on the island for more than five years motivated Sascha to revive his label Luvlite Recordings. The “10 years anniversary
