I've been a Big Brothers volunteer for nearly 4 years. I asked my Little Brother Michael (now 16 and not so little) to join me in the studio to record my new Christmas single, "Early On One Christmas Morn". We recorded and mixed the song in one evening at my friend and producer MW Nelson's studio. Michael played various percussion instruments on the track, contributed hand claps and sang backup vocals. The song is a bluesy, traditional gospel romp from the 1920's. We wanted to give the song a "small backwoods church on Christmas Eve" feel, and I think we accomplished that with the looseness and good vibes we had in the studio.... just three buddies in the Holiday spirit, having a good time and making some music.
