简介
Renegade's debut release showcases the musical and song writing talents of five, well road tested West Australian musicians. Their combined experience of music and life in the land down-under give this EP it's distinctly Australian 'down to earth' quality whilst managing to steer well clear of the cliched 'Australiana' tag. Not strictly 'Country Music' in the true sense of the genre, more music that evokes images of the country that is Australia. The opening track Legless & Dateless explores classic themes of booze, blokes, and women inspired by countless appearances at rural dance halls and B&S balls. The band bearing witness to the 'end of the night' antics of local lads and lasses as they stumble their way through the often humorous dating and mating rituals. Its’ funny ‘cause we’ve all been there. Track two accurately depicts the true legend of the infamous West Australian renegade of his time, Moondyne Joe. It’s a fascinating story of a man who remains endearingly close to the heart of many West Australians, though you probably had to be there. Fly To You takes you on a sonic journey across the lush tropical landscapes of Queensland and conjures up images of the absolute awesomeness of the night sky as viewed from the pitch black interior of this massive continent. Definitely one for a comfy sofa and a pair of quality headphones. The title track ‘Take Me Home’ was inspired by the many weird and wonderful small town characters the band have come across in their travels. The storyline centres on a tale of a young man returning to his home town disenchanted with his life in the ‘city of dreams’ that promised so much but delivered so little. An oft’ told tale that reinforces the proverbial ‘don’t know what you got till it’s gone’ line. Go on, sing along, you know you want to..... The closer is a track that really grows on you the more you listen to it. Give this one a chance, it really gets in. It doesn’t Matter is a wistful tale of life gone by and being truly content where you are today. Another great sing along chorus and a great guitar line eventually reveal this tracks true potential. This album is best enjoyed as a whole though feel free to download the track that hits you first off. “Y’all come back for more now, ya hear”.
