All of the members of Bofus spent many years bouncing around the local music scene in the Kansas City metro area. A mutual friend introduced Kevin Scott to Rusty Mainard to do some demo recording in Rusty’s private studio. A mutual respect of each others talents and goals was immediately recognized and a collaboration CD was recorded right away. (Bofus, Common Ground) During the recording process of Common Ground Rusty and Kevin, hence the name Bofus, knew performing live would have to be done to satisfy their rock “jones!” Kevin called on the talents of bassist Mike Criger. He knew from previous bands that Mike’s talent and knowledge of Kevin’s original tunes would solidify the 3 piece group. Bofus was born. Mike helped them finish Common Ground. They immediately created Motif. And now Get Some the third CD, of hopefully many more in the future, is ready to hit the presses! As melodic as it is heavy, the music says more than any words.
