简介
About HalleluJazz Project Hallelujazz Project was formed in 2002 by drummer, songwriter, vocalist and arranger Tosin Aribisala. The idea behind this musical group was to form a hybrid musical outfit that will feature some aspects of Yoruba music fused with some American jazz qualities. Hence the word HalleluJazz, which is the combination of "halleluyah", without the "yah", and "jazz". In linguistic term, "hallelu" sounds like "alelu" in Yoruba language, which means "we can beat/play". So joining "hallelu", which is the first three syllables of "halleluyah", with "jazz" leads to HalleluJazz. In plain Yoruba interpretation, this means, "we can play jazz".
