Katrina 'Miss Trina' Benson was born and raised in Southeast Washington DC, which is known for it's high crime rate, large amount of drug abuse, and high ranking death tolls. Katrina found herself falling into the snares that plague her neighborhood and so many around her, but managed to escape the negative surroundings through prayer and her faith in Jesus Christ. Katrina, also known as 'Miss Trina, is the first female rapper to incorporate Gangsta and Gospel into the same Genre. She's known for her hard rapping style, punch lines, and cocky flow. Katrina's 'tough upbringing' influenced a lot of what she raps about. Her unique flow has caused her to become very popular in the DMV, Puerto Rico, and New York area. Katrina has featured in over 15 Mix-tapes with other Artists. She completed her first Mix-tape 'Kingdom Hustler' in 2012. Katrina never gives herself credit for her rapping ability, she gives all glory goes to God. Katrina knows that if it wasn't for God's Mercy and Grace, she wouldn't be alive today to be used in such an awesome way. What's new for Miss Trina? Miss Trina plans on dropping her first Single 'Turn Up' on ITunes the Fall of 2014.
