The instrument featured is a beautiful Regina style 38 music box. This model is a coin-operated automatic disk-changing model which left the factory is Rahway, New Jersey, on October 16th, 1900. It was bound for the Lyon and Healy Company in Chicago-a large distributer of musical merchandise. If you hear occasional metallic clicking and snapping, it's not the fault of the recording or player. These sounds are typical of antique musical box disks, and the ones used for this recording were carefully selected to have a minimum of this noise.
