Cory Goodrich mixes country, folk and swing to create her debut album as a singer/songwriter. Along with renowned musical director and producer Malcolm Ruhl, Goodrich creates a musical tapestry to show the many sides of being a woman, from motherhood, to love and loss and survival. One song in particular, Evening Sky, is dedicated to the recent loss of her friend, Bernie Yvon.

Aside from the excitement surrounding the release of the CD, Goodrich, a Jeff Award winner for best actress in the Drury Lane Theatre’s production of Ragtime, is launching, in conjunction with the CD, GoBeautiful.net, a website that’s designed to help boost self-esteem and positive body image for women and girls. “As the mother of two girls, I know the importance of modeling good body image and self-esteem. Girls need to understand that they are so much more than what we see on the outside,” she says. “And you know what? Women of all ages need it too, along with the boys and men with whom we share our lives. My goal is to create a site that will promote local artists who share positive messages. I will create visual and musical reminders to be who you are, love who you are––to create, to embrace exactly who you are in this moment.”
