Til the Break is an acoustic hip-hop duo—Taiaha Ngawiki and Jefferson Curtis. Together they combine fresh raps with melodic vocals and gritty beat-box into a flowing musical cascade that will shake your bones. Hailing from the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia, where the beaches are breath-taking and the music is home-grown, they began as ‘Write of Passage’; playing local community, youth and hip-hop events. They reformed as ‘Til the Break’ in 2012, and released their independent first EP ‘Come as you are’ in … Since then, they have received local radio play, their video ‘Bargain Hunter’ has been aired on RAGE, and they have been in high demand on the Adelaide club circuit where their dynamic stage presence gets audiences jumping. Lyrically candid, with a raw and funky style, these musical pirates are flying their own flag.
