In our culture words such as great, amazing, and worldclass are thrown around haphazardly in conversation to describe what most would agree to be terrible, not so good, and even mediocre. Dr. Mike looked to raise the bar. Formed in August 2004, Dr. Mike has been an influence in underground circuits throughout the country. They were described by one writer as, "... ahead of their time," and "... better than what's out there." Such accolades are not important to the band. "It's all about giving it to them, it's all about giving the people what they want," said Kyle Nelson (Electric Mandolin, Lead Bells), "...there's no greater thrill." That attitude is not lost on the rest of the group.
