Azulão is Patrick Francis, guitar, and Keith Wilson, clarinet. Both classically trained musicians, the two share a musical vision that steps outside the borders of classical music to incorporate music from around the world. Performing together for nearly a decade, their music is a warm, category-defying blend of jazz, latin, and classical music. Keith is a musician with an appreciation for music of many kinds. Originally from Scotland, Wilson began playing clarinet at a young age and later attended London's Guildhall School of Music, where he studied with Jack Brymer, OB.E. Since that time, he has performed throughout Europe, China, Taiwan,China and Japan. Keith is now based in San Francisco, where he received a Ph.D in Chinese Philosophy at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Patrick is a guitarist as well as a composer and arranger. With an eclectic musical background in rock, jazz, and classical music, he composes and arranges in a style that blends those elements, creating distinctive pieces that cover a wide emotional and stylistic range. He holds a doctoral degree in music and has produced numerous new chamber works and arrangements, as well as music for dance, theater, and feature film.
