Moon Light, one of America’s top creative and performing teams, features the inspired award-winning duo of Aubree and Dr. Stephen Oliverson. Moon Light has performed extensively throughout the intermountain west, including venues such as the Sundance Film Festival, Libby-Gardner Hall, Temple Square, Salt Palace, BYU Education Week, and thrilled audiences in other locations such as Seattle, San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Washington DC. Moon Light is a featured group for the Salt Lake Pops Orchestra and the Excellence in the Community concert series and has performed for many special events including conventions, school assemblies, and helped raise money for charity. Aubree and Stephen have produced and recorded two CDs, The Magic of Music (2008), and New Classics By Moon Light (2009), and are in the process of recording their third CD--released July of 2012. Among other honors, in 2011 Moon Light won the renowned Best of State award for musical composition and performed at the Salt Palace awards gala. Concertgoers are deeply impressed and touched by their superior interpretive skill and the beautiful refreshing presentation of their inspired original works. Aubree Oliverson, Fourteen-year-old Utah native was a principal violinist and two-time member of the Suzuki Youth Orchestra of the Americas, and was a winner in the 2009 Salute To Youth competition, receiving an enthusiastic standing ovation at her solo debut with the Utah Symphony at age eleven. Aubree was a winner in the prestigious Stradivarius Competition in 2010, and was the youngest of three Grand Prize winners and closing ceremony soloists. In 2011 Aubree won 1st prize in the highly competitive American Protege International Strings Competition and gave a stunning solo performance at Carnegie Hall. Aubree also won the 2011 Utah Best of State award for Individual Instrumentalist--and the coveted “Boss” trophy as the state’s top entertainer. In May of 2012 the Utah Symphony invited Aubree to perform the complete Tchaikovsky violin concerto as their featured soloist during their All-Star Evening event where she received not one, but TWO rousing standing ovations (one after the 1st movement!). Aubree is also an accomplished composer having won multiple state and national competitions. Aubree was twice designated a composer of great promise (2010, 2011) by the New York Arts Ensemble. She composed her first song at age five. Aubree has twice appeared on National Public Radio’s From The Top, most recently soloing for millions of listeners in March 2012. She has been a featured artist with many music groups including the Salt Lake Pops and the Gifted Music School orchestra of Salt Lake.

Dr. Stephen Oliverson, talented pianist and composer. Besides Stephen’s many musical endeavors, he is also an award-winning educator (including Principal-of-the-Year), has several advanced degrees, and an extensive military, athletic, and religious background. Never tied to one musical genre, Stephen’s varied life experiences give his inspired musical work and presentations variety, meaning and depth. Stephen’s two youngest children, Andrew (11), and Lily (8), are also excellent musicians and join their sister and father in many Moon Light productions.
