Brian McKenzie is an old soul in the body of a modern day singer songwriter. He takes the roots element of Americana and adds his clean, smooth vocal style to create a sound once described by a club owner as “Ameri-Crooner”. Brian draws on influences that range from those crooners of the 1940s and 50s, to early country, rockabilly and rock n' roll, to the singer songwriters of today. He blends the ingredients into a cohesive, well mixed drink that you can easily get lost in. Brian's music has been described as the combination of Chris Isaak, Edwin McCain and the Mavericks. After parting ways with the band (and the genre, itself) at the end of the decade, Brian continued to pursue his career as a singer songwriter. He released two solo albums, before releasing “Resolution” in 2011.
