Having been a part of multiple projects, Jared Mancuso is setting out on another solo path. His first solo release from 2012, A Very Pleasant Person, was made up of songs written throughout nearly a decade of his life, chronicling his growth as a songwriter and arranger. Additionally it featured him on every instrument, drums, bass, guitar, keys, and vocals. After the hiatus of his previous folk/pop/rock group The Jared Project (founded by himself and fellow songwriter Jared Bardugone), Jared Mancuso has been spending a great deal of time in another group called Not Fade Away, which is a modernized and rocked out show tributing the music of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper, and their contemporaries. Constantly playing that early rock n roll genre, Jared found himself inspired by the simplicity of rock 'n roll from the 1950's, with roots in the blues. He started working on his second solo album, Superdope. In addition to pulling from the pioneers of rock and roll, he found subtle inspiration from early The Beach Boys and their exciting party feel, while blending in elements of some other modern musical roll models; catchiness of Weezer, the garage rock styling of Jack White and the punchiness of The Black Keys.
