All songs written and composed by Martin Bernt Produced by Jochen Arbeit Additional lyrics on 'At The Birthday Party' and 'Elliot Girl is Running' by Chuck Palahniuk from the sci-fi novel 'Rant: An Oral Biography of Buster Casey'. The music was recorded during the long and cold winter of 2009/2010 in Neukölln, Berlin, Germany. it was inspired and partly based upon the sci-fi novel Rant by Mr Palahniuk. The music is intended to be a sound diary of the times we live in now. So if the tracks sound a little bleak and dark maybe it's because the times seemed like that during the writing and recording period of time. I can in hindsight hear some similarities to music from mid 70'ies and early 80'ies and maybe the times we live in now are not that different from that perticular time frame. I didn't pay much attention to contemporary music during the recordings but was listening to a lot of ambient and experimental sounds. The intention was to make an album without any beats none what so ever but some beats found its way anyways. I wouldn't say it was a complete joyful experience to record this album but I'm really happy I did and I still think it nails the Zeitgeist pretty precisely. I owe my wife a lot of respect and love for helping me through the process. And also my sister and Mr Jochen Arbeit for moral and musical support. We Will Never Be As Young As We Are Tonight will be followed up with new tracks released in sets of two tracks each throughout 2012.
