简介
Driving from the elaborated structures of Led Zeppelin to the easy roughness of 80’s rock, Phazer’s rock road is merely one. Strong, with powerful rhythm and sweetened by melodic guitar and vocal structures, this four-piece collective from Lisbon’s suburbia doesn’t hide the reason that led them to gather as a band. The lyrics sustain it. “Revelations” is a debut in Phazer’s own language. It takes us to ways that have already been driven, revisited in a seducing and intelligent way. Seven songs were gathered from a repertoire already shown in concert. The explicit energy of the funkiesque “Revelations”, the heaviness lain on the groove of “Benediction” and “Way Downtown”, the FM romanticism in the catchy choruses of “Love Kills” and “Wonder Girl”, the cosy ballad “Lament to the World”, the classical flamenco influence of the instrumental acoustic piece “We're All Silent Witnesses (to be continued...)” are soundscapes of rock’s glorious times…they all make us want to recover those years. The record was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered at Namouche Studios in Lisbon, Portugal by the band itself with Quim Monte (Moonspell - Under the Moonspell) and Fred Stone . There couldn’t be a better working group to trickle down all the adrenalin contained in the extended list of shows, all over Portugal.
