简介
A unique voice and a true passion for country music led this 22 year-old singer/songwriter to chase her dreams down in Nashville, TN. Originally from Grandville, Michigan, Annie Wildgen grew up immersed in country music, listening to the likes of Garth Brooks, John Denver, Reba McEntire, Patsy Cline and Alison Krauss. At five, Wildgen began playing piano; at six, she joined The North American Choral Company, where she began traveling across the nation, performing on many stages, including New York City’s Carnegie Hall. Wildgen fell in love with songwriting at sixteen, teaching herself to play guitar to continue touring around the country, showcasing her original music. Over the years, Annie has caught the eyes and ears of many audiences ranging from local talent shows and contests, to state/regional competitions, radio interviews and television appearances: Texaco Country Showdown, Kent County Youth Fair, G.R.'s Got Talent, among others. In 2010, Wildgen’s rendition of "I'll Be A Dream" (We The Kings featuring Demi Lovato), won her the 105.3 Hot FM contest, where she was flown to New York City to record it with lead singer, Travis Clark, and was played regularly on the station. Wildgen’s original song "Stand Strong" placed first in the Silent Observer "Rock The Mic" contest, leading to free studio time, radio interviews, and an article in the paper. This summer, Wildgen not only shared the stage opening for the Oak Ridge Boys at the Monroe County Fair, but also opened for Sam Tate, performed at Michigan’s Marquette County Fair and Jackson County Fair. Additionally, one of her original songs was featured on USA Network’s “Chrisley Knows Best” (premiered October 2014) and was released on Itunes in March 2015, on co-writer Brett Young's EP "Country In California." After multiple live performances on WoodTV's "EightWest" program in West Michigan, Annie made the move to Nashville to break into the music scene, where she has played venues including the famed Bluebird Cafe, The Listening Room, Belcourt Taps, SoulShine Pizza Factory, Hotel Indigo, The Commodore Grille, The Bridge and more. Over the past two years in Tennessee, Wildgen has proven her dedication to the industry, building up an impressive repertoire, having written and performed countless original songs with other talented artists and writers including Thom Shepherd ("Redneck Yacht Club”) and Coley McCabe ("This Ain't The 60s"). A lot of hard work, determination and a positive personality give Annie Wildgen a promising career in the music industry. Setting herself apart with a unique crossover sound of country, folk and pop, she is sure to capture the attention of every listener with each performance through her incredibly clear voice, amazing harmonizing ability and remarkable songwriting style.
