Huey Gatez is a independent rap artist from DeKalb, IL. As a young man he loved listening to various rap artist such as Tupac, Common, and Eminem. This has proven to be evident in his poetic lyricism that has drove him to create records that can feed not only the streets, but also the avid listeners of the rap genre from all backgrounds. In this time finding an artist that is truly as dedicated to their lyricism as Huey Gatez is rare. Although his presence in the music industry to the general public is still under the radar this young man is sought after by some of the most successful record labels, and is out looked to be releasing some hit singles along with his first CD Clear For Take Off in 2015. When asked where he plans to go from here Huey replied "I'm seeing improvement in myself and the people around me everyday. The only way I know to go is up, and I never stay still so that must be where I'm headed."
