It started with a song written about New Years resolutions and then a song that mentioned Irish Spring Soap, very briefly, and a joke about how this sad unlove me song was the type of song you listen to on Valentine's Day. And then The Rough & Tumble started telling that joke at concerts and explaining that there's a great sadness to a lot of holidays and somebody yelled "Thanks for making me aware of my holidays!" And then, in 2013, The Rough & Tumble, Mallory Graham and Scott Tyler, took that cause upon themselves and created "The Rough & Tumble's Holiday Awareness Campaign," in which they wrote, recorded and released 24 songs in a year based around under-appreciated holidays, all so that you would be aware of the great joy and also the great sadness that comes from celebrating.
