An upbeat and classy player who knows how to express what he feels on a mic. He was a Richmond, California, native who co-founded Ujima (collective work and responsibility in one\'s community, to make our neighbor problems and solve them together) recording studio with his cousin King at 15 and 16 years of age. He has opened for such artists as Sir Mix-A-Lot, Grand and Hittas on the payroll. Since then, he has teamed up with Syntax and other producers and rappers. Together they have completed the \"Time Capsule,\" a project that was years in the making. Ever since his childhood, FEF knew what he wanted to do with his life. He chose music over everything. He played football at El Cerrito High but was cut in the 10th grade for going to Sparks Recording Studio in Oakland to record his first demo. The manager would make him freestyle, but he just wanted to do his written material. Then, one day, his manager told him to just say whatever came to his mind, just let it flow, but make sure it rhymed, and his style was born. He started going to K-Lou\'s in Richmond, where people such as E-40 & the Click and Master P recorded. He learned what was necessary to make a complete song. But studio time was getting expensive. Cutting lawns and doing yard work was not enough to fund his career. That is when FEF and King decided to construct a business plan to start their own studio, which they did. It started out in his parent\'s backyard as a place where he and his cousin could create their own music. Eventually they outgrew the location that had become the neighborhood-recording studio for local artists to not only record, but also be produced and have tracks tailored to their individual styles. It features timeless music from some of the best upcoming artists and producers in the Bay Area, such as Ambassador of Bum bell a.k.a.
