Bio: Catherine Mai Holder, originally from Somerset, Kentucky and since moving nomadically around the East Coast, now finds her niche in Nashville, Tennessee. Before she moved to Nashville, Catherine obtained a degree in musical theatre from Samford University. After graduation, she toured with two theatre companies, capitalizing on her education. Catherine is a vibrant performer who always sings and dances her heart out onstage, and never holds anything back. She is influenced by the classics of Motown and Jazz, but is drawn to the sassy new lyricism of Amy Winehouse and Katy Perry. Her voice has been compared to everyone from Dusty Springfield to Corrine Bailey Rae...even to the "Female Version of Michael Buble." Her music is mostly a blend of R&B and rock, and her jazzy influences show through in songs like "Mexico." Her fan base is eclectic, ranging from wild-at-heart stay-at-home moms to the young partying "Mo's." Catherine's music, like Catherine herself, is sassy, sexy, and irresistible.
