"Anything" is a song about what you would do for someone or something you love unconditionally. It was inspired by our relationships, our trials, and our journey to loving completely with out reason. ABOUT LAMONT WHEAT: A reedy vocal reminiscent of a cross between Teddy Pendergrass and Luther Vandross with modern swagger LaMont’s big voice is quickly gaining popularity. Originally from Texas, he realized his passion for music early on and founded his high school’s first inspirational choir “Voices of Youth,” and in college LaMont sang gospel music as part of a trio that toured nationally as an opening act for many Gospel greats such as Shirley Caesar, John P. Kee, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Daryl Coley. LaMont wrote and produced his first CD entitled “Love Goes On” which he released on his own label, LaMont Music, followed by the release of “That Girl” and “I’ve Got It.”. He has shared the stage with artists such as PM Dawn, Kelly Price, Faith Evans, Joe, Jennifer Hudson, Brian McKnight and Jennifer Lopez to name a few. LaMont has been featured on FOX’s “Good Day LA” Christmas morning concerts and last year performed live with a flash-mob to a Jennifer Hudson feature that he wrote and sang to called “Everybody Needs Love” at the 25th annual Palm Springs Pride celebration where he also headlined mainstage with CeCe Peniston. In 2010 LaMont contributed his time and talent as youth mentor to the Chicago chapter of CAAF (Children Affected by AIDS Foundation). LaMont released “Still Standing” on December 1st is a tribute to World AIDS and he’s an advocate for creating community conversation and raising awareness about the impacts of the disease. He is the creator and founder of The SKIN project, a global community project whose mission is to create an impact of unity, acceptance and love in humanity through local events that unite communities around a celebration of diversity.
