Void Moon is a Swedish Doom Metal band formed in 2009. The band has released two EPs (“Through the Gateway” and “Where the Sleeper Lies Awake” featuring Blackosh (ex-Root) on lead guitar) and one full-length album (“On the Blackest of Nights”, CD/LP Cruz Del Sur 2012). Their second full-length album, "Deathwatch", will be released on cult label Sun & Moon Records on the 28th of March 2016. The album features a guest appearance by John Cobbett (Hammers of Misfortune, exSlough Feg) and contains 9 tracks of Void Moon's own brand of atypical doom. The album builds on "On the Blackest of Nights" but breaches into more accessible sound and arrangements while retaining the complexity and originality that Void Moon is known for. The cover artwork was done by Swedish artist Cecilia Landgren. Void Moon has played several acclaimed festivals throughout Europe including Malta Doom Metal Festival, Metal Magic in Denmark, Doom over Scania, Dutch Doom Days and Old Grave Fest in Romania as well as a mini-tour of Ireland and several local gigs.
