She progressed to singing lead for a couple of celtic rock bands in the 90s. Fortunately, her second band imploded in Commitments-esque splendor before she could completely strip her vocal cords belting out Pogues covers. Since becoming a solo singer/songwriter in the mid-90s, Alex\'s style has grown from straight-up folk to roots music with blues and country influences.
