Greyscale is one of the premier vocal ensembles in the East Tennessee State University Department of Music, under the direction of Dr. Alan Stevens. The group was created in the fall of 2013 with the goal of performing a variety of musical genres, primarily focused on jazz and pop. The ensemble name, “Greyscale,” represents the non-specific type of music they perform – avoiding categorization in any black or white style. Greyscale has become a recognized success on the ETSU campus and throghout the region. In January of 2015 Greyscale toured and appeared on invited performances in New York City and Washington D.C.
