Rakel's second album “Literatura Para Gatos” could be identified as Latin alternative/pop/world music, her work is very diverse, she co-wrote most of the songs with renowned composers such as Jorge Luis Piloto, Elsten Torres, Julio Reyes Copello and Diego Gomez among others. The 11 songs contained in this album are based on stories that inspired her; it is a mix of different sounds and rhythms that range from the sounds of France in the 60's to the “New York, New York” of Frank Sinatra, including also a very romantic Bolero melody and the Brazilians/Bossa nova sounds among other rhythms. There is an adaptation to Spanish of a beautiful Israeli song, and a cover of the English song 'Happy Together'. She was also able to evoke the sounds of Latin Rock from the 70's with a unique pop/folk/country sound song 'Largo Invierno' which includes the participation of argentine rock icon Nito Mestre. “Literatura Para Gatos” invites you to enjoy her view and perception of music, in each song you can discover a completely different story. The variety of sounds sets the atmosphere of the song that invite you to travel to a specific époque and location, a palette of colorful and wide rhythms from all around the world.
