简介
EPIPHANY RECORDINGS LTD. (est. in January 1994) is a label dedicated to recording the very finest performers in the most acoustically attractive settings, providing the aural equivalent of a live concert. Our initial productions, as well as the concerts themselves, were recorded in the Benedictine Grange in West Redding, Connecticut, a 150-year-old post-and-beam barn. For our fourth release, a program of romantic organ music, the company traveled to New York City to record the enormous 91-rank tracker organ at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola. Now with this latest release - CONCERTS ROYAUX - we bring you an sumptuous album of baroque flute chamber music that will change your day for the better, each time you hear it. Epiphany's goal is to provide the musical experience of a live concert to the remote listener. Each recording is accompanied by an attractive, illustrated booklet with extensive annotations about the music and the performers (and also found on our website). We bring the listener closer than ever before to the experience of a live concert. By decreasing the number of electronic stages in the recording chain and increasing the size (detail) of the digital signal produced, we achieve the most direct path possible to the music. Epiphany’s unique recording system utilizes the most advanced technology available, today including: Single stereo microphone array voiced with a First Person Perspective (FPP) - twin balanced omnidirectional PZM capsules - custom-built dual mono microphone preamplifiers - minimum electronics and wiring - positioned for natural acoustic balance Battery-powered recording chain - no AC contamination - lowest possible noise floor - complete isolation of each component - ideal electrical supply for each component Cardas Litz OFC Enamel Wire used throughout - flat frequency response - zero phase shift through gigahertz frequencies - ultra low capacitance and inductance - sonically invisible 32-bit digital conversion - proprietary technical breakthrough - 64-bit internal computing precision - 960 kilohertz sampling frequency - previously unrealized sonic accuracy 64-bit glass Optical Disc Masters (ODMs) - lowest jitter distortion of any digital medium - fastest optical disc performance - professional archival format Second-Generation Web Downloads or Third-generation digital Compact Disc copies of the original glass ODMs - extensive, illustrated program booklet with annotations by authoritative writers and the performers themselves - brass or copper layered using optical grade polycarbonate for superior sonic reproduction - shortest digital mastering chain in the industry, lowest recovered jitter playback of 0.1 picoseconds (via Audirvana Plus 3). We guarantee you a splendid music listening experience you will never forget!
