I am a writer. This is what I do. I am simply a creator. I write songs and in them I try to remember what made an impression on me musically from the past with a keen sense of what is modern and different. I truly believe I am unique, but I am not so unique that the songs are unlistenable, I stilll maintain a definative idea of what will sell records. This is why I am an ARTIST AND A BUSINESSMAN. I Am In the business of selling records because I WANT MY MESSAGE TO BE HEARD. Charlus is my conception of Rock/Pop and it is a beautiful package with infinate possibilities. I write for a broad audience and not for a specific race or sex...I am universal. My music is traditional Rock/Pop, a little flirtation with electronic and usually described as "Passionate and thought provoking" there is a heavy emphasis on Lyrics, in the fashion of the great Lyricists. I live the words in my everyday life and that translates very effectively in the vocal performance. There is nothing fake here and listeners ultimately respond to that humble sincerity. People respond to the music on a spiritual level. Lastly, if you are truly uninterested in Radio these days then my music can quench your parched pallette. Todays music, or that which is shoved down our throats, is mostly made in cookie cutter fashion, rarely these days, do you find an original voice. Charlus is unique and fascinating, after hearing it, the voice is not soon forgotten and this is because I am singing with complete honesty....I dont stand up and wave my dick with machismo and nor do I crumble into the corner and espouse self pity...The music I write is for everyone, it is universal, I write music that is ageless and therefore very very human.
