Adam Dean is a longtime drummer/percussionist based in Wichita, KS who is excited to be making his solo recording debut! Well known for his diversity in the Wichita local music scene, Adam has played in bands such as 90 Proof Project, Big Fat Fun, Shyner, his own jazz trio, and various musicians from the Wichita Blues Society. Adam is also a full-time music educator; teaching elementary general music in Mulvane, KS, and private drum lessons at School Of Rock in Wichita, KS. “All Around You” is one of several songs Adam has written and recorded in the past few months. The song is a keyboard/marimba-based instrumental with a driving beat, and full band accompaniment. A swirling, arpeggiating synthesizer track places you (the listener) in the center of all happenings. “All Around You” is a musical story of a positive force (in a negative climate) that guides you in all your actions…so long as you’re moving! Written and recorded in his home studio, Adam plays all of the instruments on this recording.
