The Sins are a Sydney-based four piece built around the songwriting of seasoned British soul singer, Steve Griffiths, and brooding pop chanteuse, Kari Pihl. The distilled rasp of Griffiths' vocals and guitar complements and sullies Pihl's intelligent, vulnerable lines, producing some gorgeous bittersweet pop.

The Sins' ashtray heart love songs speak of hunger and fragility, sex and sadness. Driven by the passionate, melodic drums of Mark Hetherington, and Justin Tauber's restless bass, the band's recordings and live shows eloquently span a wide variety of emotions and styles.
