Some call it Retro-Wave or even Retro-Futurism - we call it good music. Buspin Jieber offers us another quality EP, displaying his love for the 80s, joyrides and analog girls. Buspin Jieber is an Icelandic producer, who has already established himself as one of the leading force in the local electronic music scene. The first track of the EP, "Joyrides and Girls", brings us to the the world of fancy cars, brilliantine hair and good-looking girls wearing orange jumpsuits and sporting a flashy hairdue. If this track would be miraculously transformed into a human being, it would be the king of the prom. "Knoblifter" offers us an ethereal experience as we travel through the motherboard of an Atari computer - a Tron-like battle between a young-looking Jeff Bridges and a evil Molly Ringwold, which has infiltrated the geometrically intense landscapes of cyberspace. The third track is the title track of the EP. Our hero and his girl arrive on their modified Cadillac to a beautiful viewpoint - observing the sunrise of a new day. He holds her closely and whispers gently to her ear "We Came As We Left". Fluctuating synths and tribalistic drums makes this one essentials for the fans of BoC and good music in general. The fourth track, "The Package", is dark, but yet offers hope. A young man finds a back door into a military central computer in which reality is confused with game-playing. "The only winning move is not to play" Final track of the EP is an optimistic journey - wide angle shot of a flashy sport car in the distance. We zoom in and spot our hero with his love, who flashes a big hairdue and inflates her bubble gum like a true champ. Where did they come from? Where are they heading? The track is a synth delight - a beautiful tribute to Tangerine Dream.
