Thank you for taking the time to view our Album Notes! We really appreciate it! : ) This recording is an interesting compilation of tunes consisting of one vocal tune and the rest are instrumental. Pyerce is a 12 year old musical artist. The main idea of this album is to pay homage to all the loving fathers in the world who are committed to their children. The title song, "A Dad Is is Like A General" was inspired by me and my dad's experience in a talent contest here in Delaware called "Me & My Father Have Talent Too". Last year was the first time this event was showcased and we won First Place! How wonderful! We than were asked to open the show the following week for the Annual "Delaware Teen Idol" and that was also fantastic! There was a famous face in attendance that we got to meet. His name is Mr. Clifton Powell, a prominent actor possibly best known as Pinky in "Friday After Next". He is an inspiration! This year, we were invited to open the show for the "2nd Annual Me and My Father Have Talent Too". This show is July 29 and we wrote "A Dad Is Like A General" for all the fathers out there, especiall those who didn't find it robbery to go on stage and perform with their children. So many fathers didn't have time, the committment or even enough courage to do something like this with their child or children. I am so glad my dad and I did! On this album, there are some really interesting compositions with grooves and interesting solos for your enjoyment. We truly hope you will enjoy all of the original tracks on this CD. We featured two performers on this CD as well. Mr. Steven Walls of Trevose, PA who is an awesome vocal talent who performed and sang with my dad in their college days up at Lincoln University in PA. He helped me with backgrounds on A Dad Is Like A General. Mr. Stanley Southerland of Newark, DE is a long time guitarist that has performed many gigs with my dad over the years. Mr. Southerland put down some nice lead guitar licks on the track, Victorious. By the way, Victorious was the original tune we performed last year to win First Place in the talent show! Both artists have a lot of talent and great music that they want you to be looking for! They can jam! This album is just a little taste of the real flavor you'll be getting from us.
