简介
Demo 2 Deal attacks the senses like a pot of spicy Louisiana style gumbo. K.L. Brown's production takes us on a musical journey through the history of funk, soul, pop and folk carefully crafted for today's musical listening taste. Lush emotional tracks like "So Cool, So Sweet" and "Seasons" take our feeling down memory lane to the classic era of neo-soul and early 80's R&B, while other tracks like "Motherfunky" feature speaker-popping bass and a grit normally associated with gangster rap. This album is definitely not afraid to take from all sides of the musical playbook, taking full advantage of live strings and guitar from Diva Price and Jeremiah "Boogieman" McConico in order to create an organic backdrop for the sultry melodies of Denise Hudson and raspy vocal drumming of front man K.L. Brown. Creative, radio friendly and dare I say deep, this album effectively bridges old school dynamics with new millennium hip hop swag. The fact that vocals are raw and intentionally untouched by auto-tuning add to the vintage feel of this listening masterpiece. Get it...it's a gem.
