NAME: Lolly Pop AKA: Lorraine Price BORN: Feb 14th, 1984 At the age of nine, following the mysterious death of her parents in Machu Picchu, Lorraine Price inherited the Prize Popcorn Company (PPC) during 1992. As she was underage, Mr. Jeffrey-- her Father's trusted colleague-- was appointed interim CEO. Lolly (as nicknamed by her loving but perpetually drunk, fashion designer Uncle Roger, a.k.a. Fairy Godfather) was then sent to Headington Boarding School For Girls in Oxford, England. Returning home for Christmas 1999, Lolly learns that all rights to the PPC have been absorbed by a mammoth corporation called POP INC, leaving her destitute, with no legal recourse. Fortunately, family friend Howard Hughes III-- grandson of legendary filmmaker Howard Hughes-- intervened. Installing Lolly as well as Uncle Roger in his off-Fifth apartment, Mr. Hughes and Mr. Jeffrey undertake a years-long legal skirmish to restore the PPC to it's rightful heir. Meanwhile, unable to assume her Oxford education, Lolly enrolls at the LaGuardia School of Music & Performing Arts, where she meets future besties Rockwell Fairbanks and Bubbles Light. For their senior project, the gang composed a mini-series of musical misadventures. From Lolly's unrequited crush on her building's elevator operator, to drag ball and party hopping with Uncle Roger, to being awarded Blackwell's 'Worst Dressed' while wearing one of Roger's creations, to lamenting her parents in 'Happy Ending', Miss Pop comically comes of age in this Minneapolis-meets-Manchester Electro-Kitsch classic.
